New television series features Hinesburg resident

July-4-B-Skin-Wars-C-copyThe Game Show Network is baring it all this summer with its new original series, Skin Wars, premiering Wednesday, Aug. 6 at 9pm ET/PT, and your Hinesburg neighbor Sean Avram will compete.
Avram, a former professional wrestler, commentator, and ring announcer, is now a father of five who resides in Hinesburg. He is known for body painting fantasy and science fiction characters, usually on his wife, Jana, who serves as both a model and his muse.

Hosted by actress Rebecca Romijn, Skin Wars is an eight-episode, hour-long competition show that seeks to find the most talented and versatile body painters in the country. Judges includes legendary entertainer RuPaul and body painting icons Craig Tracy and Robin Slonina.

In each episode, contestants test their creativity, talent, and artistic technique as they participate in a series of mesmerizing body painting challenges that all promise amazing reveals. The contestant with the least compelling creation will be asked to wash off their canvas and leave the competition.

Over the course of the series, 10 contestants will be stripped down to three finalists, who will compete in the high-stakes finale. The winner of Skin Wars will receive a $100,000 cash prize, one-year supply of paint, and will be the featured guest artist at IMATS, the premiere body painting trade show in New York City.

Watch the premier of Skin Wars on Aug. 6, root for your neighbor Sean Avram to advance, and enjoy.
