Vermont Outlaws win Baseball Showdown

The Vermont Outlaws, an under 17 baseball team led by Champlain Valley’s head baseball coach Tim Albertson, won four straight games to win the 10th Annual Heritage Summer Baseball Showdown July 18-20 at Rice Memorial High School in South Burlington and Williston Central School in Williston. The Outlaws, a summer baseball prep club that also plays in the Next Level Baseball League, beat OEC Lightning on Friday 4-2, defeated the Ottawa Knights 2-0 and St. Johnsbury 13-0 on Saturday, and cruised by the Ottawa Nepean-Canadians 18-3 in the championship game on Sunday.

The Vermont Outlaws team hosted the Heritage Summer Showdown with participating teams from New Hampshire, New York, Vermont, Canada, and Massachusetts.
