Burlington Business Fair slated for Aug. 6

The Small Business Administration is teaming up with the City of Burlington Community and Economic Development Office and the Micro Business Development Program to host the Burlington Business Fair from 10am to 2pm on Aug. 6 at Burlington City Hall.
The annual fair is free and open to the public. This year’s theme is Getting Business Done.
“In the spirit of Getting Business Done the goal is to help small business owners and budding entrepreneurs take action steps at the event, from understanding insurance options, to gathering permit applications, to scheduling appointments for a follow-up meeting,” said Vallerie Morse, SBA Vermont District Office Deputy Director. “The fair will also have free workshops and the ‘professional corners’ to provide one-on-one consultations.”
The workshops available are Exploring Business Ownership at 10am and Marketing for Business Owners at noon.
Approximately 40 organizations are slated to participate, including Church Street Marketplace, Lake Champlain Chamber of Commerce, Vermont Department of Taxes, and Vermont Economic Development Authority.
