Vermont Hands to Honduras-Tela will host a Latin Dance Party on Friday, Sept. 5 from 7-11pm at Shelburne Farms Coach Barn in support of the organization. The cost for the benefit is $30 per person and includes dancing to Rhode Island’s hottest Latin band Jesus Andujar & Grupo Sazon, salsa dance instruction, musical performances by Alejandro of Grupo Sabor and Hermes Cardozo, creative silent auction (check or cash), and Latin-style appetizers and desserts. Shelburne Farms will offer a Latin inspired cash bar.
Tickets can be purchased form the Flynn Theater by calling 86-Flynn, at the Shelburne Farmers Market on most Saturdays, or by calling 425-3838. Check can be made payable to Hands to Honduras-Tela and sent to Hands to Honduras-Tela, 190 Red Tail Lane, Charlotte, VT 05445. To make a reservation to purchase your ticket at the door, call 363-6064.
All funds raised will support the 2013 humanitarian projects of the Hands to Honduras-Tela volunteer non-profit organization. Each year, volunteers travel to Tela in February to help create a better life for the children in the rural impoverished areas by building schools and day care centers, renovating health care centers, providing medical and dental clinics and training, and more.
