Hinesburg resident receives Building Block Award

Together, these volunteers represent 195 years of service and contribute more than 7,340 hours each year as volunteers in our community. United Way’s Building Block Award recognizes the collective power of volunteers in building a strong community in the areas of education, income, and health.
The Building Block Award winners will be honored for their work at the United Way’s LIVE UNITED Breakfast on Thursday, Sept. 4 from 8-10am at the Sheraton in South Burlington. This event is sponsored by the Argosy Foundation on behalf of John Abele. Each individual nominated will receive a Certificate of Thanks from United Way of Chittenden County and a pair of tickets to a fall performance donated by the Flynn Center for the Performing Arts.
Hinesburg resident Jane Gage is being honored for her work supporting the Hinesburg Meals on Wheels program of CVAA.
The LIVE UNITED Breakfast on Sept. 4 also kicks off United Way of Chittenden County’s Annual Community Fundraising Campaign to help address community priorities in education, income, and health.
