Marcia Bristow, certified specialist in sports dietetics and owner of Fueling Fitness of Shelburne, has been helping people achieve their personal weight, health and performance goals since 2010. This year Fueling Fitness will expand its reach as Bristow welcomes Maddie Kinzly to the practice.
Kinzly is a 2013 graduate of the University of Vermont dietetics program and in May of 2015 completed her Master of Science in clinical nutrition and dietetic internship combined program at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, Oregon.
“During her undergraduate years at UVM it was my pleasure to mentor Maddie,” Bristow said. “Now that she has completed her Master of Science degree in dietetics, her internship requirements, and passed the national exam for registered dietitian nutritionists, I am thrilled to have her join me.”
The two look forward to working together to better meet the needs of clients who are seeking nutrition counseling and education. Kinzly works especially well with younger, athletic clients.
“I also know her graduate school research work in nutrition and physical activity to enhance maternal health will be an asset to our practice,” said Bristow.
