The Bissonette Field Project, which will create two multi-purpose fields, a little league baseball field, a concession stand, bathrooms, and a parking area is now accepting bids for phase one of the project.
The first phase of the project includes a construction road which will be approximately 1,800 feet long, a parking area, and prep work for the two multi-purpose fields. Thomas Ayer is accepting bids on or before Friday, April 15, and engineering plans and scope of work documents can be requested directly from him at email@example.com.
After a three-year volunteer fundraising effort, the project is taking shape, with almost $300,000 received in cash and in-kind donations. The fields will be used for Hinesburg Recreation programs and area sports clubs including the CSSU Buccaneers youth football. Ayer is managing the bidding process along with a group of volunteers.
Ayer said, “This is a community project, so we are encouraging local contractors to prepare bids. We have some equipment that has been generously donated by Woods CRW in Williston which can be used to reduce bid totals.”
