Voter information for Charlotte and Hinesburg

Voter registration ends Nov. 2 at 5pm
The last day to register to vote for the General Election is Wednesday, Nov. 2 at 5pm.  The General Election is Nov. 8. The Town encourages anyone who registered through the Motor Vehicle Voter System to check with the town clerk’s office before the deadline to make sure you are on the checklist.

Absentee/early ballots available now
You do not have to be absent from town to request an absentee ballot. The absentee/early ballots are available now through Monday, Nov. 7 at 4pm. They need to be returned by the close of polls on Nov. 8 in order to be counted.

If you submitted an online request, please check with the town clerk as to its status.

Early voting in person
You may also vote in person at the town clerk’s office. The office hours are Monday-Friday, 8am to 4pm.

General Election information
General Election voting is on Tuesday, Nov. 8 from 7am to 7pm.
• Charlotte residents vote at the Charlotte Central School Multi-Purpose Room on Hinesburg Road.
• Hinesburg residents vote at the Hinesburg Town Hall.
