Hinesburg Public Safety Log – Jan 1 to Jan 7

Citizen Dispute – On Sunday, Jan. 1, an officer responded to Triple L MHP for a resident believing that a neighbor was throwing things at her residence. The area was checked with nothing found.

Juvenile Problem – On Monday, Jan. 2, officers responded to a residence in the village for an out-of-control fifteen-year-old. The juvenile was transported to UVM Medical Center for crisis intervention.

Driving Under the Influence of Drugs – On Saturday, Jan. 7, officers responded to a vehicle off the road on Gilman Road. The 46-year-old male operator from Colchester was found standing outside the vehicle and it was determined that he was under the influence of drugs. A Drug Recognition Expert was called and after testing, the male was processed for DUI. He was cited and released to a family member.
