Champlain Valley 18, Burlington 10: Lydia Maitland starred under the lights at Burlington High School, leading Champlain Valley to a win on Friday night.
Maitland netted eight goals for CVU, who moved to 3-3 with the win. Bella Riely chipped in with a hat trick, while Jenna Baginski and Kelsie Saia each tallied twice.
Gabby Booth, Becca Provost, and Natalie Paquette each added a goal, while Ali Wainer made seven saves to earn the win in net.
Champlain Valley 13, Mount Mansfield 9: Host Champlain Valley scored seven runs in the third inning to earn a win over Mount Mansfield on Thursday afternoon.
Sayla Lawrence was 4-for-5 with three runs scored for the Redhawks (4-4), while Natalie Gagnon scored three runs and had two RBIs. Sofia Dattilio was 2-for-4 with three RBI for CVU.
Hattie Roberts went the distance, striking out nine, to earn the win.
Champlain Valley 7, Burlington 0: The Champlain Valley boys tennis team rebounded from their first loss of the season with a 7-0 win over visiting Burlington on Thursday.
George Lomas, Ivan Llona, Ethan Leonard, Justin Hameline, and Joe Warren all won in straight sets for the Redhawks (3-1) in the singles matches.
David Huber and Richard Hall, along with Nathan Walker and Nevin Hood, took wins in the doubles matches.
Champlain Valley 7, Burlington 0: The Champlain Valley girls tennis team continued its winning ways on Thursday with a win over Burlington.
The Redhawks, who did not drop a set, got wins from Stephanie Joseph, Renee Dauerman, Sophie Dauerman, Kendall Blank, and Meara Heininger in singles.
Maddie Huber and Megan Watson earned a win at No. 1 doubles for CVU (5-0) and Arielle DeSmet and Corina Gorman got the win at No. 2 doubles.
