Preschoolers enjoy exploring nature and summertime critter visits in Hinesburg

Tiny but mighty pet leopard geckos brought color and curiosity at Annette’s Preschool.

Summertime at Annette’s Preschool in Hinesburg features lots of hands-on nature experiences where the playground becomes an outdoor classroom. Summer curriculum features visitors who bring along creatures and lessons for the youngsters. The school hosted staff from the Vermont Institute of Natural Sciences who brought along a barred owl. 802 reptiles supplied a variety of large snakes for the children to meet and handle.

August will bring a beekeeper to the preschool and a two-day workshop about birds with staff from Vermont Audubon.

Annette’s Preschool is an early care and education program serving families with children age 6 weeks-8 years for over 30 years.
