South Burlington couple buys Sojourn bicycle company

Raja and Bibi Mukherjee recently acquired Charlotte-based Sojourn Bicycling & Active Vacations from Susan Rand, who started the company in 2004.

“Sojourn is one of the leading active vacation companies in the country, and specializes in boutique, personalized bicycling vacations throughout the U.S. and Canada, winning accolades from Frommer’s, Fodors, and Forbes, among many more,” Bibi said.

Raja will be the president of the company, and Bibi will lead the marketing efforts. Bibi founded and owns Curve Trends, a regional digital marketing agency; she has worked with Sojourn for over ten years. She will continue to operate her company in addition to her work at Sojourn. The couple has lived in South Burlington for two decades.

“Raja and I are dedicated to enhancing the vitality of local Vermont communities and committed to continuing to make Vermont one of the best places to live, work, and visit,” Bibi said. Rand will stay to ease the transition over the next 18 months.
