Man charged after firing gun into air at Countryside Motel

No one was injured in an incident last week at the Countryside Motel that resulted in one man being arrested and charged with unlawful trespass and reckless endangerment.

According to Shelburne Police, officers responded to shots being fired just before 10:30 p.m. on Aug. 31. The incident stemmed from a family argument. After leaving the motel, 22-year-old Larron Thibou fired a shotgun into the air, police said.

Thibou was taken into custody without incident, charged with unlawful trespass and reckless endangerment, and released to appear in Chittenden Superior Court, police said.
