Gov. Phil Scott has appointed Fayston business owner Ed Read as representative for the Washington-7 House district serving the towns of Fayston, Duxbury, Moretown, Waitsfield, and Warren. Read, an Independent, will serve the two-seat district along with Rep. Maxine Grad, D-Moretown.
Read takes the seat vacated by former Rep. Adam Greshin, I-Warren, who was recently appointed by Scott to the job of commissioner of finance and management. Read is the chief executive officer of Mad River Property Management and a 1989 graduate of the University of Vermont with a bachelor’s degree in business administration.
