Steinway visits Vermont with piano sale and benefit

Steinway & Sons will visit Montpelier for a “Steinway Comes to Vermont” promotion featuring free piano presentations, musical performances, and a two-day sales event offering significantly reduced prices on Steinway and Steinway-designed Boston and Essex grand and upright pianos. The event will be held at Vermont College of Fine Arts Nov. 1-4 and a portion of proceeds will benefit Vermont College of Fine Arts and the Monteverdi Music School. Steinway & Sons is one of the most renowned musical names in American history crafting instruments since 1853. This is the first time Steinway is co-sponsoring an event of this nature.

The schedule for the event includes a technical demonstration Nov. 1 from 6 to 6:30 p.m.; a student and teacher showcase performance Nov. 2 from 4 to 6 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. The piano sale is by appointment Nov. 3-4 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

All activities will be held at Vermont College of Fine Arts, 36 College Street, Montpelier. To make an appointment for the private sale event, call 347.306.9642. To RSVP for the free technical demonstration or performance showcase, or to learn more about the festival, visit steinway.com/vermont.
