Author Brendan Kelly will present ideas and research from his recently published book “The Yin and Yang of Climate Crisis” next Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Carpenter-Carse Library in Hinesburg.
Melting ice caps, dying forests, and devastating floods are symptoms of deeper issues, both within us as individuals and within our culture. Informed by Brendan’s experience as a practitioner of Chinese medicine, the discussion will look at how climate change might speak to the level of imbalance in the people and institutions responsible for the crisis.
Kelly uses the lens of Chinese medicine to understand that the severity of climate destabilization speaks to deeper issues and provides an opportunity to address personal and collective imbalances.
This talk is one in a series on climate change and is a collaboration with Charlotte Public Library, UVM, and the Lewis Creek Association.
