A holiday tradition continues this weekend when about 25 Vermont student dancers, many of them from the Stowe Dance Academy, perform “The Nutcracker” with the Albany Berkshire Ballet’s 43rd annual tour.

The performances are at the Flynn Center for Performing Arts, 153 Main St., Burlington, with shows at 3 and 7 p.m. Nov. 25 and at 1 p.m. Nov. 26. Tickets: flynntix.org; $26 to $40 for adults, $15 to $25 for children.

The Albany Berkshire Ballet has been presenting “The Nutcracker,” with classic music by Tchaikovsky, throughout the Northeast since 1974. The Vermont students were chosen by rehearsal mistress Helena Sullivan at a Burlington audition and they come from 13 ballet schools in Northern Vermont.

Sullivan heads the Stowe Dance Academy, which will have a large delegation of dancers in this year’s production.

Other performances are in Pittsfield, Springfield and Lawrence, Mass., and Albany, N.Y., with local dancers in every production.
