The Champlain Valley School District Board of Directors welcomes the community to attend any of four upcoming district meetings to work on the 2017-18 budget.
These meetings will provide the public an opportunity to learn and understand the school budget as the board, along with community volunteers called “Budget Buddies,” discusses details for the proposed budget.
Each meeting will have time for public comments and questions. The meetings will be held in different locations in order to visit several schools in the district.
All meetings are on Tuesday evenings and will begin at 6 p.m. The dates are:
• Dec. 5 at the Charlotte Central School Library. Topic: Regular education delivery plan
• Dec. 19 at the Hinesburg Community School Flex Space. Topic: Operations and maintenance
• Jan. 9 at the Shelburne Community School Library. Topic: Revenue and tax
• Jan. 23 at the Williston Central School Dining Room. Topic: Final approval and warnings
