The Shelburne Craft School board of directors, staff, and friends host the seventh annual Wreath Auction and Winter Festival Dec. 7 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at the school.
The holiday event will feature hors d’oeuvres, cash bar, music, and a live auction of wreaths created by local artisans and businesses.
Tickets include a complementary glass of wine or beer, light fare, and a handcrafted holiday ornament. Food and bar provided by Arts Riot.
Each year the wreath artists take their creativity to new levels. “This event has turned into a friendly competition in ways between the artists, who can make the most interesting wreath? The competitive nature produces not your average wreath, but something one can hold onto and show off for years, and raise money for a good cause,” explained Sage Tucker-Ketcham, the school’s executive director.
This year, funds raised will benefit the Shelburne Craft School educational programs. Each year the Craft School contracts with area schools to offer woodshop, glass, metals, visual art, and clay programs, as well as summer camps and after-school classes for all ages.
Tickets: $35 for members, $45 non-members.
