James White’s letter lauding Susie Faber on her coyote article (The Citizen, Nov. 22) was beautiful. Yes, we need to stop treating wildlife like they are nuisances. I can’t remember who once wrote that without animals, it would be a lonely world.
I would only take issue with Mr. White’s term of “harvesting” wild animals, since “harvesting” is what we do with plants and vegetables.
We don’t “harvest” animals. We KILL them. The term “harvesting” animals is a term of denial.
