Kids connect with nature Feb. 10 at cohousing event in Charlotte

Champlain Valley Cohousing in Charlotte hosts another “Kids Nature Connection” event on Feb. 10 from 9 a.m. to noon.

Children ages 6-10 are invited to make a fire with a bow drill, discover animal tracks, work on building a natural shelter, whittle, and play in the woods.

Led by educator, counselor, and Pathfinders Nature Connection founder Per Eisenman, children will connect with nature, gain a sense of calm, and promote their curiosity and exploration.

Parents may drop off their children or stay and participate. Children should bring a snack, water bottle, knife, and nature journal if they have one.

Parents should park in the main lot at 27 Common Way near the yurt. The group will head into the woods around 9:30.

The program is free but space is limited, so registration is required. Younger siblings welcome. Contact Julia Scott via email at
