Hinesburg salutes veterans, responders

Approximately 180 people turned out on Monday for the Hinesburg Memorial Day prayer service at the veterans’ monument. Chief Al Barber (left) of the Hinesburg Fire Department and Chief Frank Koss (right) of the Hinesburg Police Department placed memorial bouquets during the ceremony. Local residents gathered to pay tribute to veterans, the police and fire departments, and first responders. The fire department celebrates its 75th anniversary this year with events coming up around and on Independence Day.
