June 3
5:02 p.m. Officers responded to Green Street for a welfare check regarding a family fight. After investigation, police arrested Daniel Garvatt, 40 years old of Georgia, Vt., and charged him with domestic assault. He was lodged at the Chittenden Regional Correctional Facility in South Burlington.

June 4
5:57 a.m. An officer checked on a business burglar alarm on Beecher Hill Road. There was no problem.
1:19 p.m. An officer responded to a two-vehicle crash on Vermont Route 116 and Charlotte Road. There were no injuries.
2:22 p.m. A Hinesburg resident came to the office to report an accident that occurred in a parking lot in South Burlington. Police took a report for her insurance company.
3:21 p.m. Police did a vehicle VIN verification for a local business.
4:30 p.m. An officer went to a residence on Shelburne Falls Road for a welfare check. No problem was found.
4:53 p.m. A village resident contacted the office regarding a problem with a landlord.  The issue was resolved without law enforcement intervention.
6:52 p.m. An officer assisted Hinesburg First Response with a medical call.
8:01 p.m. An officer responded to North Road for a family fight. The altercation was verbal only and the officer remained on scene until one individual left the residence.

June 5
7:45 a.m. Officers responded to Mechanicsville Road for a two-vehicle crash. Police said one driver fell asleep at the wheel and crashed into an oncoming vehicle. One driver was taken to UVM Medical Center for evaluation but no one was seriously injured.
9 a.m. An officer went to Windswept Way to check on a report of a suspicious vehicle but could not find it.
10:23 a.m. An officer responded to St. George to assist Hinesburg First Response with a medical call.
11:09 a.m. A resident came to the office regarding a family fight that occurred between herself and her son. She declined follow-up for investigation.
12:34 p.m. An officer went to Ledgewood Lane to check on a report of a suspicious noise but nothing was found.
5:23 p.m. An officer responded to High Rock Road to assist Hinesburg Fire Department with a fire alarm.
6:20 p.m. An officer took report of a two-vehicle non-injury crash that occurred on CVU Road the previous day.
7:44 p.m. Officers responded to Silver Street in Monkton to assist the state police with a reported domestic incident.
9:48 p.m. Officers received a complaint of an erratic vehicle on Vermont Route 116.  Police stopped the vehicle and determined the driver was tired.

June 6
8:58 a.m. An officer responded to a vehicle vs. deer crash Vermont Route 116 near Friendship Lane. The driver was not injured.
11 a.m. An officer responded to a residence on Magee Hill Road to assist the Department for Children and Families with a home visit.
12:16 p.m. An officer assisted with unlocking a vehicle in the village.
12:27 p.m. An officer responded to Lyman Meadows for a welfare check. No problem found.
5:15 p.m. An officer responded to Baldwin Road for complaint regarding chickens on a neighbor’s property.
5:50 p.m. Officers responded to CVU to assist Hinesburg First Response with a medical call.
8:10 p.m. An officer responded to Shelburne to assist Shelburne Police with a man with possible mental health issues. The person was taken into custody without incident.

June 7
6:15 p.m. Officers responded to a residence on Pond Road for a report of a fox attacking a vehicle. Upon arrival, they observed the fox that appeared to be okay but possibly had been sprayed by a skunk. State Fish & Wildlife officials were notified.

June 8
8:16 a.m. An individual reported receiving threatening text messages.
10:17 a.m.  Police took a report of a missing man from North Road. He returned home later that day.
6:23 p.m. An officer was notified that a dog had gotten into a trap that was set to catch a raccoon in someone’s garden. The dog received a minor injury and police contacted the dog’s owner.
11:15 p.m.  An officer was called out for a family fight on North Road. It was determined to be verbal only and one of the individuals left for the night.
11:45 p.m. Officers assisted Shelburne Police in St. George on a call regarding a domestic assault.

June 9
5:12 a.m. Police were notified of a vehicle crash on North Road where the driver was gone; the vehicle was towed.
10:53 a.m. An officer responded with Hinesburg Fire and First Response to Cedar Knoll Golf course for an accident involving a golf cart that rolled over.
2:41 p.m. Officers responded to a two-vehicle crash on Richmond Road at Magee Hill Road. A vehicle drove through the stop sign at Pond Brook Road and collided with an oncoming northbound vehicle on Richmond Road. The second driver was taken to UVM Medical Center to be evaluated but was not seriously injured.
3:18 p.m. Officers responded to Wildwood Lane for a possible citizen dispute. No law enforcement action was necessary.
5:33 p.m. Officers responded to CVU parking lot for a person reported to be in a vehicle unconscious. The officers determined that the individual was only sleeping and there was not a problem.
8:37 p.m. Officers responded to Lyman Meadows for a report of a suspicious group of people making a lot of noise. A resident said she was having a loud conversation but the other person had left.
