Family Movie Night
Friday at 6-8 p.m. families are invited for an incredible movie night. Check out the library website for title and details, carpentercarse.org. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Rated PG. Refreshments served. Free.

Holiday Book Sale
Need a gift? Check out the ongoing book sale for great new and like-new books. New hardcover bestsellers, youth books, and popular paperbacks. Proceeds benefit the library. There are book totes for sale, too.

Hands and Needles
Mondays, 10 a.m.-noon, join handcrafting enthusiasts for creativity and conversation. Bring a project you are working on – quilting, knitting, embroidery, etc. Free.

Storytimes
Every Tuesday and Thursday, 9:30-10 a.m. children up to age 5 and their caregivers gather for songs, stories, rhymes and games. Followed by snack and open play time. In December, Thursday story times will be led by Cathy Segovia and will have a focus on sign-language. Free.

Tech Time
Half-hour appointments are available every Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. (Or make an appointment in advance for a time during library open hours.) Get help with questions about your laptop or personal device. Call the library or email richard@carpentercarse.org to reserve a time.

Art Show
Hinesburg artists John Penoyar and Judi Maculan both have pieces on view at the library.

Year-end giving
The library asks local residents to consider a year-end donation. Read more about the library’s accomplishments and goals for next year at carpentercarse.org. Donations can be made online or by check mailed to Carpenter-Carse Library, 69 Ballards Corner Road, Hinesburg.

Winter Craft Workshop
On Tuesday, Dec. 4, at 4 p.m. this workshop will help you make two simple winter crafts that can be used to decorate your home for the holiday season. One project uses two magazines – the more colorful the better. Bring some to share. Call the library or email jill@carpentercarse.org to sign up.

Community Writers Group
Calling all local writers – the monthly group meets Tuesday, Dec. 4, 7-9 p.m. Writers of all genres welcome. Get your literary juices flowing with creative writing prompts, network with other local wordsmiths, and enjoy a fun, stimulating workshop. Free.

Adult Coloring
On Saturday, Dec. 8, 1-2:30 p.m. color your way to calk at this drop-in coloring club for adults. Coloring sheets, art supplies, and tea will be provided.
