Donald W. Stevens III
1986-2019
Donald W. Stevens III, 33, passed away peacefully Sunday, May 5, 2019, in St. Albans, Vt. He was born in Tacoma, Wash., March 8, 1986.
Donald was proud to have served honorably in the United States Ar-my National Guard and served in Iraq. He was exceptionally proud to be a Nulhegan Abenaki citi-zen.
Donald is survived by his child Shadow Stevens of St. Albans; father Donald Jr. and his wife Diane Stevens of Shelburne; sisters Jocelyn and her wife Amanda Meilleur of Burlington, and Samantha and her husband Isaac Wetherby of Burlington; his brother Chris and his wife Lindsey Colucci of Westerly, R.I.; and his sisters Erica Colucci of Charlotte Courthouse, Va., and Knykoleta Colucci of Maui, Hawaii. Donald is also survived by several nieces, nephews, aunts and un-cles.
The family will receive friends Saturday June 15, 2019, at 1 p.m. (rain or shine) at Shelburne Farms on the hill in back of the administration offices (Farm Barn), 1611 Harbor Rd., Shelburne for an Abenaki celebration of life ceremony.
Following the ceremony, people will gather at the Stevens’ home lo-cated at 156 Bacon Drive, Shelburne for light refreshments. This is an outdoor event so please bring a folding chair if needed. Interment will be in Maplewood Cemetery, Huntington at a future date.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation to the family to help cover burial expenses in care of Donald Stevens, 156 Bacon Drive, Shelburne, Vt. 05482.
