Join handcrafting enthusiasts for a morning of creativity and conversation. Bring whatever project you are working on – quilting, knitting, embroidery, etc. Free and open to the public.
Fall book group forming
“How to Break Up With Your Phone – The 30-Day Plan to Take Back Your Life”
Wednesdays, Oct. 9 and Nov. 13, 6:30 p.m.
Local media literacy educator and mom, Suzie McCoy, will lead group meetings and discussions on this timely book by Catherine Price. Discover how phones and apps are designed to be addictive and learn how the time we spend on them damages our abilities to focus, think deeply and form new memories. Learn how to make customized changes to settings, apps, environment and our mindset that will ultimately enable us to take back control of our lives.
