The Hinesburg Police Department is investigating theft,  embezzlement, and the sale of illegal drugs at the Hinesburg General Store. As a result of information obtained during this and a separate credit card fraud investigation,  the owners have decided to close the store, police said. The Hinesburg Selectboard hired Suzanne Mantegna as the town’s new zoning administrator during the May 15 regular meeting.
