Just after Hinesburgh Public House closed Sunday night, a motorist slid through the intersection of Vermont Route 116 and Mechanicsville Road, coming to a stop after crashing into the pub’s handicapped-access ramp. More than 35 firefighters from four departments battled a barn fire on Tom Cabot’s property at 2100 Harbor Road in Shelburne on Tuesday. No people or animals were harmed, however the building was a total loss.
